Organic shield essential oil blend is a spiced combination featuring clove, rosemary, and lemon essential oils. Crafted by our expert aromatherapist to help enhance any cleaning recipes for the home and beyond. This blend is created in-house in small batches, and has prominent notes of clove with bright hints of citrus and a spicy, herbaceous back.

Wonderful addition to liquid hand soaps, household cleaning recipes, or homemade hand cleansing gel. A few drops of this blend can be added to your laundry or dish water and is also a pleasantly spiced addition to mop buckets. Diffuse in your home, office, or car to help clear and enliven the air.

Our organic shield blend is a variation on the ubiquitous herbal recipes of the middle ages, and there are many modifications to be found of the historic cleansing herbal blend. The mythologized story tells of a group of four thieves were caught looting from the sick or deceased during the bubonic plague in Europe. They had not contracted the disease even after coming into close contact with bodies and authorities demanded to know how this was possible. As the tale goes, the thieves revealed they were unemployed spice merchants who used their wares to create an infusion to rub around their heads and hands to ward off disease.

This blend contains essential oils that are quite strong and irritating for skin such as cinnamon bark and clove. We recommend caution before using them topically even when properly diluted.

Ingredients
Organic clove essential oil, organic lemon essential oil, organic rosemary essential oil, organic cinnamon bark essential oil, and organic thyme essential oil.

Packaging
1/2 oz. and 1 oz. essential oils are packaged in amber glass bottles with drop reducers for easy application. 4 oz. and 16 oz. sizes are packaged in amber screw cap bottles and do not come with reducers or droppers.

Safety
Contains camphor. May sensitize skin. Phototoxic. May inhibit blood clotting. Avoid while pregnant or with liver conditions. Never use essential oils undiluted, in eyes or mucus membranes. Do not take internally unless working with a qualified healthcare practitioner. Keep away from children and pets.

Before using perform a small patch test on your inner forearm or back. Apply a small quantity of diluted essential oil and cover with a bandage. If you experience any irritation use carrier oil or cream to further dilute the essential oil, and then wash with soap and water.
